My experience at BAR was a perfect storm of a bad day: I had been tasting all day; I was tired; I was still an hour+ from home; and I walked in on a massive crowd at what (I did not realize at the time) is one of Connecticut's great pizza joints, where Yalies congregate at the drop of a hat. There was also a malfunction with the pizza oven, so orders were backed up, and the staff was stressed like a bad O-ring on the Space Shuttle. Did I mention it was 9 PM on a Saturday night? Yeah - I grumbled and walked out. So I need to go back to BAR. Which I will.
