Beers Tasted
Beer 1: Honeymoon Phase Pineapple Wheat Ale (4.0 abv) No pineapple. No wheat. No carbonation. Awful. (Tasted at Better Half 7/9/21.)
Beer 2: Triplé Belgian Tripel (9.6 abv) Big candy flavor; no carbonation; big alcohol. Overwhelming banana flavors, and not in a good way. (Tasted at Better Half 7/9/21.) SECOND TASTING: Banana, sugar, fruit, marshmallow. Notes unavailable. (Tasted at the Third Annual Summer Beerfest at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Waterbury 7/23/21.)
Beer 5: Citra Smash (6.0% abv) Really nice light ale. (Tasted at the Third Annual Summer Beerfest at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Waterbury 7/23/21.)
Beer 6: The Milk Man NEIPA (7.0% abv) Not overdone. Good, light, not crazy-hopped or too much lactose. (Tasted at the Third Annual Summer Beerfest at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Waterbury 7/23/21.)
Beer 3: You're a Catch Kveik Pale Ale (5.2 abv) Grapey flavor. More body and head than the previous beers in this tassting, but that's not saying much. Still no carbonation. (Tasted at Better Half 7/9/21.)
Beer 7: Last Call IPA (6.6% abv) Their standard IPA. Good, plus bitters, and well-balanced. (Tasted at the Third Annual Summer Beerfest at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Waterbury 7/23/21.)
Beer 4: Deez Nutz Nitro Peanut Porter (4.1 abv) No peanut in this peanut porter. Very light body. No real coffee or porter flavors. (Tasted at Better Half 7/9/21.)
Beer 8: How You Doin' Fruit Beer (4.4% abv) Nice sour. Somewhat savory. An appropriate thirst-quencher. (Tasted at the Third Annual Summer Beerfest at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Waterbury 7/23/21.)
