Impression

Good beer instincts and willingness to experiment, but many beers ultimately low on flavor. Seems like a situation that could be easily remedied, though.

BEERS TASTED

Beer 1: New Phone, Who Dis? Berliner Weiße (3.3% abv) Sour, refreshing, but low on fruit. (Tasted at Black Pond 8/2/19.)

Beer 5: Moving the Goalposts Milkshake IPA with Mango (5.2% abv) No mango discernible. Big IPA. (Tasted at Black Pond 8/2/19.)

Beer 2: Cinco de Machu Brett Saison w/ Jalapeño and Habanero Peppers (8.7% abv) Pepper on nose, and even bigger pepper on palate. But overwhelms Saison flavor. (Tasted at Black Pond 8/2/19.)

Beer 6: Mr. Kitty Milk Stout (5% abv) Coffee, but not over-the-top. OK beer. (Tasted at Black Pond 8/2/19.)

Beer 3: Hit the Mahc Strawberry Rhubard Wheat Ale (5% abv) Faint Rhubarb and strawberry flavors. Wheat beer-like. (Tasted at Black Pond 8/2/19.)

Beer 7: Motha Shucka Oyster Stout (6.1% abv) Bigger flavor; best of tasting on 8/2/19. Some really interesting flavors, including faint oyster on end. (Tasted at Black Pond 8/2/19.)

Beer 4: Good Ole' Tom Golden Ale (4.7% abv) Toasty Golden Ale, but lacks complexity & cohesiveness. (Tasted at Black Pond 8/2/19.)

Beer 8: "Toast Crazy Cock" Dry Hard Cider (6.0 abv) from Stafford Cider. Low on fruit, but not sweet (i.e., cider for adults, and good!). (Tasted at Black Pond 8/2/19.)
