BEERS TASTED

Beer 1: Cleopatra New Zealand IPA (7.2% abv) Really good. (Tasted at CT Beer Festival 4/22/23.)

Beer 5: Livia Pale Ale (5.2% abv) Nice, full body, if a touch too hoppy. Clean underlying barley toast. (Tasted at Caius Farm, May, 2023.)

Beer 2: Hortensia German Pilsner (5.1% abv) Fresh, with subtle bitters. Too much. nuttiness, but almost there.(Tasted at CT Beer Festival 4/22/23.)

Beer 6: Balbilla Kölsch (4.9% abv) More carbonated than a typical Kölsch, but good, rich flavor and body, also unlike typical Kölsches. A nice beer. (Tasted at Caius Farm, May, 2023.)

Beer 3: Arminius Porter (6.5% abv) Very nice. Full-bodied finish. Carbonation is somewhat lacking, but bitter/sweet balance is right on. (Tasted at Caius Farm, May, 2023.)

Beer 7: Apicius I Apricot Sour (5.5% abv) Unexpectedly genuine, fruity apricot. Not thin, like many sours, but good body. Very nice carbonation. (Tasted at Caius Farm, May, 2023.)

Beer 4: Commodus Stout (7.8% abv) Decent body, but not a big head, neutral tasting, and roast is not really apparent. This beer needs work. (Tasted at Caius Farm, May, 2023.)

Beer 8: Apicius II Raspberry/Cherry Sour (5.5% abv) Even stronger flavor than Apicius I, but raspberry instead of apricot. (Tasted at Caius Farm, May, 2023.)
