ROUTE: CT Route 66

Founded: 2021

Impression

Just over the Arrigoni Bridge, but not in a very scenic spot. Good neighborhood crowd. Nice, big, circular bar in the center of the room. Hot dogs and food on the side, at a service window. Quick food service. Seems like there should be a TV in the room. though

BEERS TASTED

Beer 1: Raspberry Ripple Fruited Sour (4.2% abv) Very well made, with good flavor and finish. Just the right amount of fruit & sour flavor. (Tasted at Concentric 7/7/21)

Beer 5: Crop Circles (4.8% abv) Pure water. (Tasted at CT Beer Festival, XL Center 4/22/23.)

Beer 2: Quarry Brown Ale (6.2% abv) Terrific! Hits all the right notes and lasts long on the palate! (Tasted at Concentric 7/7/21)

Beer 6: Forever Red Irish Red Ale (5% abv) Really average/homebrew. (Tasted at CT Beer Festival, XL Center 4/22/23.)

Beer 3: A Change of Seasons: Summer 2021 Farmhouse Ale / Saison (6.1% abv) Good to quaff, but just not enough flavor. Banana flavor, and almost a witbier. Somewhat odd. (Tasted at Concentric 7/7/21)

Beer 7: Awkward Family Photos IPA (6.7% abv) Super light. Better than the Crop Circles & Forever Red, but still just OK. (Tasted at CT Beer Festival, XL Center 4/22/23.)

Beer 4: Udderly Whimsical Chocolate Milk Stout (6.5% abv) Big alcohol on finish, but very balanced otherwise. Full, good finish. (Tasted at Concentric 7/7/21)

Beer 8: BBA Breakfast in the Caribbean (9.75% abv) Litchfield Bourbon Barrel-aged. Good coconut flavor, good lightness. (Tasted at CT Beer Festival, XL Center 4/22/23.)
