Beers Tasted
Beer 1: Krampus's Krumbs Sugar Cookie Milk Stout (6.0% abv) Decently - and surprisingly - balanced, given the sugar cookie additions. Definitely sweet, but flavors are attenuated over the tasting process. (Tasted at Dudleytown 12/1/23.)
Beer 2: Dark Entry Imperial Stout (12.0% abv) Way too sweet, with an odd vanilla/banana flavor mix. A distinct alcohol burn on finish. Flavors are too amped up to feel real, and they linger cloyingly. A very odd beer. Yuck. (Tasted at Dudleytown 12/1/23.)
Beer 3: Ghost Hazy IPA (6.8% abv) Classic juicy IPA with a touch of creamsicle on palate. Orange and slight bitter from hops result in a juiciness that is almost unrestrained. (Tasted at Dudleytown 12/1/23.)
Beer 4: Sunrise Spirit American Light Lager (4.8% abv) Ashy/diacetyl taste of a homebrew. Good carbonation, good malt flavor, and correct balance. Except for a tiny jarring popcorn note, a good beer. (Tasted at Dudleytown 12/1/23.)
Beer 5: Passion of the Geist Fruited Sour (5.0% abv)
MASSIVE passionfruit & apricot flavors. Way too big. This is for people who like Cola, not beer. There's even a creamsicle nose. Not a sour; more like a soda. Beer from the Island of Dr. Moreau... (Tasted at Dudleytown 12/1/23.)
