Impression

Very local-bar feel. Almost a dive, except that it is immaculately clean, and has a solid, working-class vibe. A bit difficult to find, but stood out easily once I got to the right area of south Stratford. The place reminded me of Archie Bunker's place until I tasted the beer, which was really quite unexpectedly good. Not the most sociable place, unless you are a regular, but the regulars seemed to be having a good convo.

Beers Tasted

Beer 1: Wish You Were Here Kölsch (? abv) Very good body, unlike a lot of attempts at Kölsch by other breweries. Classic Kölsch taste, with very good flavor. (Tasted at Fairfield Craft 7/9/21.)

Beer 2: Brown-Eyed Girl Brown Ale (? abv) Fairly flat. But good flavor, and the Brett was not too powerful. Lighter, and somewhat malty. (Tasted at Fairfield Craft 7/9/21.)

Beer 3: Turn! Turn! Turn! Saison with Herbs (? abv) Big herbs on the nose. Farmhouse-like, with good malt. The Rosemary, especially, is very apparent. Really nice beer. (Tasted at Fairfield Craft 7/9/21.)

Beer 4: Boom Boom Barley Wine (? abv) Not sweet, very well crafted. Clean lines. Big floral nose & taste. (Tasted at Fairfield Craft 7/9/21.)
