BEERS TASTED
Beer 1: Willie Make It Hazy Pale Ale (5.8% abv) Tasty, with good carbonation. Not long. Nelson hops, from New Zealand. (Tasted at the Third Annual Summer Beerfest at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Waterbury 7/23/21.)
Beer 2: Gentle on My Mind American IPA (6.2% abv) Flavors are there, but a bit muddled. Sweet on finish. Beer is good, but a bit indecipherable. (Tasted at the Third Annual Summer Beerfest at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Waterbury 7/23/21.)
Beer 3: Chocolate Banana Blondie (6.5% abv) Banana up front; chocolate in background. Delicious, like a chocolate-banana crêpe. Not really beer, but tasty! (Tasted at the Third Annual Summer Beerfest at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Waterbury 7/23/21.)
Beer 4: Whiskey River Imperial Stout (10.5% abv) Big whiskey taste. A slight, disconcerting undertone of cheese/must. Otherwise well made, but beer cheese is generally a deal-breaker...(Tasted at the Third Annual Summer Beerfest at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Waterbury 7/23/21.)
