BEERS TASTED
Beer 1: House Lager Helles Landbier (5.2% abv) Tart & nutty. Much better than I remember from a can tasted at home. Still, a touch ashy on finish, like it's a smidge oxidized. (Tasted at Jack's Abby 9/24/21.)
Beer 5: Blood Orange Wheat Radler (4.0% abv) Disappointing. Not much orange flavor to start, but tapers off even more through to the back-palate. (Tasted at Jack's Abby 9/24/21.)
Beer 2: Copper Legend Oktoberfestbier (5.7% abv) Good, but too neutral. Some nuttiness, but not a lot.
Good malty mouthfeel, with a nice carpet of carbonation. Really wish this beer had a touch more flavor, because all the other elements are there in spades. (Tasted at Jack's Abby 9/24/21.)
Beer 6: Kol$ch Money Kölsch Bier (4.8% abv) Classic, neutral kölsch. Pretty average, but got better as it warmed up. I'm not sure what that means, since kölsches are meant to be drunk quickly. But I'll take taste over ceremony any day. (Tasted at Jack's Abby 9/24/21.)
Beer 3: Chaat Your Mouth Oak-aged Sour with Guava & Chaat Masala Spices (% abv) A sour with big, nutmeg flavor and some guava. The guava is attenuated, and not readily discernible. Very good sour acidity. An excellent beer of its type. (Tasted at Jack's Abby 9/24/21.)
Beer 7: Post Shift Pilsner (4.7% abv) Good enough, even if the bitterness on the finish seemed too attenuated. (Tasted at Jack's Abby 9/24/21.)
Beer 4: Brig Mocha Stout (6.8% abv) Excellent coffee flavor. Good flavor on palate all the way through the finish. (Tasted at Jack's Abby 9/24/21.)
Beer 8: Lavenade Tart Ale (4.5% abv) No available notes. (Tasted at Jack's Abby 9/24/21.)
