BEERS TASTED

Beer 1: Hawley Hells Helles Lager (5.5% abv) Gold color, decent carbonation, some popcorn flavor on finish. (Tasted at Newsylum 7/9/2021.)

Beer 5: Boom-Bang! Blackberry Berliner Weiße (4.5% abv) FIRST TASTING: Very dry. But blackberry is quite apparent, and a great fruit to use here. (Tasted at Newsylum 7/9/2021.) SECOND TASTING: Light on flavor; OK, but not great. (Tasted at CT Beer Festival, XL Center 4/22/23.)

Beer 2: Turbo Encabulator Doppelbock (7.5% abv) Nice caramel flavor, nutty. Good carbonation. Touch over the top on sweetness, but doesn't affect overall good impression. (Tasted at Newsylum 7/9/2021.)

Beer 6: 1705 Kellerbier (5.5% abv) Average to above-average flavor. (Tasted at CT Beer Festival, XL Center 4/22/23.)

Beer 3: Wit'drawls Belgian Wit (5.0% abv) FIRST TASTING: Really nice banana on light body, with good carbonation and excellent balance. Very refreshing. (Tasted at Newsylum 7/9/2021.) SECOND TASTING: Good banana flavors, but light and too much foam.

Beer 7: Schmoke Em Up Rauchbock (6.5% abv) Big smoke, but some sweetness. (Tasted at CT Beer Festival, XL Center 4/22/23.)

Beer 4: Cattle Call Oatmeal Milk Nitro Stout (6% abv) Great fullness, with real coffee flavor, not coffee ice cream sweetness. The barnyard brett adds complexity to the taste experience; it does not ride roughshod over it. (Tasted at Newsylum 7/9/2021.)

Beer 8: Walkin' the Dog German Pilsner (5% abv) No notes... (Tasted at CT Beer Festival, XL Center 4/22/23.)
