ROUTE: Shoreline East

Founded: 2018

Impression

Very welcoming: a "cold beer" flag outside; a gigantic sea turtle motif on walls; a military discount; very nice bartenders. Unfortunately, Niantic Public House relies too much on other breweries, to the tune of 20 of their 24 beers on tap. The 4 that are made by the house are all IPAs. None are better than average.

BEERS TASTED

Beer 1: Let Brett Bang! Imperial IPA (8.4% abv). Hoppy, juicy (100 IBU).

Beer 2: Outlet Earl American IPA (6.3% abv) Less hoppy. Not much carbonation. Medium to low body.

Beer 3: Vennell Jubilee Session IPA (? abv) Perfumy, hoppy.

Beer 4: Bowie's Brau NEIPA (6.4% abv) Hoppy, with a cat's phee aroma...
