ROUTE: CT Route 190

Founded: 2014

Impression

Brick building from 1925 (possibly ex-electric power station?) retrofitted inside with pine, in a very nice layout. There is a winery on the other side of the building.

BEERS TASTED

Beer 1: Spring Splash Maibock Lager (6.8% abv) Nice, nutty, very clean, not a lot of carbonation, but good, with light body.

Beer 2: American Ale with Fresh Lime Basil (? abv) Beautiful, light carbonation. Huge basil aroma and flavor. Light body. Lovely.

Beer 3:1929 Prohibition Porter (6.3% abv) Lighter style, incredibly fresh, light coffee taste. I am not a fan of light porter, preferring the bigger-bodied Guinness prototype. But I enjoyed this, and stated in my notes "I may end up liking porter!"

Beer 4: Early Morning Oatmeal Nitro Stout (5.8% abv) Very ephemeral coffee flavor, but with great freshness. Oddly delicious because of the fresh flavor.
