Stranger Tides Brewing

TAP ROOM

Founded: 2017

ROUTE: N/A

First Visit: 8/2/2019

Impression

All milk stouts. Brewery was in a commercial strip that seemed off the beaten path and outside of town center. Had a seat-of-one's-pants feel to it; perhaps undercapitalized.

Beers Tasted

SECOND TASTING: Really tasteless. (Tasted at the Third Annual Summer Beerfest at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Waterbury 7/23/21.)

Beer 2: Almond Joy Milk Stout (? abv) Coffee & Coconut, like a piña colada. Fun, but taste was quickly meh...

Beer 3: Golden Ale (? abv) Only non-milk stout. Berries and melon flavors. Pretty good, but not distinctive.

Beer 4: Piña Colada Milk Stout (? abv) I enjoyed this, and it was a fun beer. Certainly better than the Strawbery or Almond Joy milk stouts. But it seemed like the only well-conceived beer in the brewery.
