Impression

Maple View Farm comes straight out of the late-'60s / early '70s, when any rural farmer with even a bit of soul took a page out of Max Yasgur's book, brought in a band on the weekend, and let people sti where they would to listen to the music. At Maple View, beer replaces the wacky tabacky, but no one's policing what you ingest. The music is local, but excellent. There is parking (plentiful but always nearly full) on two grassy fields by the barn and homestead. The ground is uneven crabgrass, the driveway is gravel. There are a couple of tents, and the beer is served at a bar inside a shed, where two tables are available, but no one uses them. Everyone is outside, enjoying the sunshine and good tunes.

Beers Tasted

Beer 1: Cranberry Blonde Golden Ale (5.5% abv) Delicious, despite low carbonation. Really great raspberry-like flavor, but quite dry. Yum! (Tasted at Maple View Farm 7/10/21.)

Beer 1: Red Tail American Red / Amber Red Ale (5.5% abv) Low carbonation, but if that's a crime, then others are guilty of it too when it comes to Red Ales. That's the main reason Red Ales are not generally my thing, but for the style, this one is OK. (Tasted at Maple View Farm 7/10/21.)

Beer 1: Salmon Brook Kölsch (5.2% abv) Good head & carbonation. Nice, neutral, very slightly nutty flavor. Well made. Refreshing and light. (Tasted at Maple View Farm 7/10/21.)
