Beers Tasted
Beer 1: Shirley Lime & Cherry Kettle Sour (5.5% abv) Starts promisingly, with a big sour; but flavor tails off. (Tasted at Thimble Island 9/12/19.)
Beer 2: American Ale Amber Red (5% abv) Very light, but good flavor and carbonation. Medium nutty taste. (Tasted at Thimble Island 9/12/19.)
Beer 5: NE Pale Non-alcoholic (<0.5% abv, and 75 calories) No foam or head to speak of. Lemon color. Aroma is almost non-existent. The palate is watery from attack to finish. Very light body; very little carbonation. Very little taste except for some vague bitteness on finish. A bit of a disaster. (Home tasting: 4/12/23.)
Beer 6: IPA Non-alcoholic (<0.5% abv and 70 calories) 1/2 cm. head that quickly dies. Amber color. Clear, with good carbonation. Citrus, apple & caramel aromas. Good carbonation and decent body, but tails off precipitously. A stewed apple taste. An underwhelming beer, but better than Thimble Island's "NE Pale." (Home tasting: 4/12/23.)
Beer 3: Oktoberfest Märzen Lager (7% abv) All elements are there; big flavor, good carbonation, good malt body. (Tasted at Thimble Island 9/12/19.)
Beer 7: Windjammer Wheat Ale (4.75% abv) No available notes. (Tasting at Thimble Island 6/20/23.)
Beer 4: Dank Pumpkin Porter (5.5% abv) Porter brewed with pumpkin spice, Big spice on nose. Not as flavorful on palate. Keeps some spice, and roast of porter comes on at the end, but both are a bit too weak. (Tasted at Thimble Island 9/12/19.)
Beer 8: Sandbar Brown Ale (5.5% abv) No available notes. (Tasting at Thimble Island 6/20/23.)
